Text on back of "Sur la Route"
"There are some CDs that we like to make our own, to keep to ourselves like some rare and precious objects; some music that we listen to alone and which take and guide us towards faraway lands with boundless space. You can guess that Nader Mekdachi, whom I met during a concert he gave in the New Morning in Paris, took great pleasure in making this album. It is the soundtrack of an imaginary film, a hybrid cross between Wenders' " Paris-Texas " and Leone's " Once upon a time in America " dotted here and there with Lynch like airy atmospheres. It's invigorating like the wind on your face when driving at 70 miles per hour on an American road, it's full of that melancholy you feel when you leave without knowing if you will ever come back."
