Bensimon is first and foremost a family affair, it’s the story of the Bensimon brothers. It was back in the early Eighties that Serge and Yves first came up with the idea of creating what was a unique concept - to bring the iconic tennis shoe, quality ready-to-wear collections and rare and beautiful objects from all over the world together under one name. Since that day and spurred on by the desire to bring a vibrant and positive concept to life, they have worked tirelessly to expand this multi-faceted brand and continue to promote this unique lifestyle concept.

1978The Bensimon Tennis Shoe

Needs no introduction! Originally worn in the Army, the legendary cotton and rubber tennis shoe was redesigned in 1978 by the Bensimon brothers.

1989Concept stores

The very first HOME Autour du Monde concept store opened its doors back in 1989 on the rue des Francs-Bourgeois in Paris, in the centre of Le Marais. It epitomised the avant-garde vision of the Bensimon brothers and their desire to bring decorative objects and collections of tennis shoes, bags and clothing together under one roof. Today the Bensimon vision is brought to life through more than 10 concept stores plus around 40 stores in France and worldwide.

1989Artazart

In a prime location on the banks of the Canal Saint Martin, the Artazart bookstore has been selling a huge array of specialist books with a focus on design, art and graphic design for 17 years now. It’s also a gallery and hub for a host of artists to regularly come along and showcase their latest works and meet readers and fans.
